GLOCK 78 BLACK ASSAULT KNIFE. The Glock line of knives was developed in 1975 by the Austrian company Glock. Just a year later, in 1976, it became the official assault knife of the Austrian army. It is still used by many units around the world (including the Polish army). Today it is a legend and is eagerly purchased by soldiers and civilians alike. The Glock 78 has a simple design, is well balanced and extremely durable. The blade is made of thick, blackened stainless steel. The handle is made of hard polymer, the same material used to make Glock pistols. A metal guard protects the hand from accidentally slipping on the blade. One side of the guard serves as a bottle opener. The sheath is made of the same polymer as the handle. It has a strong buckle that prevents the knife from slipping out. The belt clip is designed to be quickly attached without having to thread it through the entire belt. Recommended for survival trips and collectors.
