FANAR machine tap for 3/8"-24 UNF internal threads

The FANAR 800X machine tap is designed for cutting UNF fine-pitch internal threads in blind holes. Model C2-513X01-4229 features a form C chamfer and 40° right-hand spiral flutes that draw chips back out of the hole.

The tap is made from cobalt high-speed steel HSSE and features a dual-layer TN2 coating based on TiAlN + TiN. The coating reduces friction and increases the tool’s resistance to wear.

The designation 3/8"-24 specifies a thread with a nominal diameter of 9.525 mm and 24 threads per inch, equivalent to a pitch of approximately 1.058 mm. The thread has tolerance class 2B and a profile conforming to ANSI B1.1.

Manufactured to DIN 371, the tap has an overall length of 90 mm, a thread length of 15 mm and a shank diameter of 10 mm. The catalogue tap drill diameter is 8.50 mm.
